Karen Fitzgerald Luncheon
Enjoy a three-course meal and welcome drink on arrival as well as charity auction and raffles.
Your support will raise funds and awareness to support vulnerable children and young people in need, including those who are or have been abused and neglected.
The Karen Fitzgerald Fund raises money to support to most at risk children and young people in South Australia, offering significant life changing opportunities for them. Many of these children have been abused, neglected, or lived in other circumstances which could lead them to a life of long term disadvantage and unfulfilled promise without extra assistance from their community.
Guest Speaker is Julian Burnside AO QC. Mr Burnside is an Australian barrister who practices principally in commercial litigation, trade practices and administrative law. In recent years Julian has become one of Australia’s leading advocates in relation to Australia’s treatment of asylum seekers and the protection of human rights and is also an accomplished author.
The Karen Fitzgerald Luncheon is an annual event presented by The Karen Fitzgerald Fund in honour of Karen Fitzgerald, the inaugural director of the Flinders Medical Centre Child Protection Service. You can read more about the KarenFitzgerald fund here
