Flinders Overseas Health Group
Bridging health divides.
Welcome to the Flinders Overseas Health Group (FOHG), a team of passionate voluntary health professionals united by a common purpose: providing vital health assistance and education to the under-resourced Indonesian province of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), including West Timor.
Dedicated professionals making a difference
People in NTT grapple with poverty, malnutrition, limited educational access, and a health system that's drastically under-resourced.
FOHG tackles these challenges head-on. Its mission is two-fold: to bolster under-resourced hospitals and the health system and to provide essential professional development and training for local specialists.
Make a donation to the Flinders Overseas Health GroupSupport that makes a difference
Your donations make a tangible impact. Through FOHG, we fund birthing programs in the local hospital, extend maternal and neonatal courses to remote and rural areas and fund facility projects. We also ensure education and training for local hospital staff across various crucial areas, including:
- Accident and Emergency
- Oncology
- Dermatology
- Infectious diseases
- Paediatrics
- Clinical pathology
- Histopathology and microbiology
- Obstetrics
- Pharmacy
Furthermore, our initiative paves the way for Indonesian medical, nursing and allied health staff to experience training and firsthand exposure by visiting Adelaide hospitals.
Our guiding structure
FOHG is guided by a devoted voluntary management committee. This essential initiative operates hand-in-hand with Flinders Foundation. Together, we manage all donations, ensuring they contribute effectively to the FOHG mission.
Transform lives
By contributing to FOHG, you directly impact health, education and opportunities for the people of Nusa Tenggara Timur.
