Our Vision
Our vision for the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer is to have vital research and care for people affected by cancer integrated under one roof. We understand that exceptional care means looking beyond a person's diagnosis to see the whole person and their needs.Â
We aim to support people with cancer to live well through care, research, and strong engagement with our community. We want to provide people with the best possible holistic support that encompasses all aspects that contribute to a healthy life.Â
Location
The Cancer Wellness Centre is located on the ground floor of the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer.

The Flinders Cancer Wellness Centre is a comfortable retreat for patients and families who are are affected by cancer.
It is a place to receive support and be connected to services which address unmet needs of people affected by cancer.
Facilities include:

- A dedicated family roomÂ
- Phone charging, USB, power points, Wi-FiÂ
- Wig libraryÂ
- Access to information about cancer, treatment, events and current researchÂ

We look forward to expanding our programs in the future. HistoryÂ
In 2018 the Flinders Foundation started a fundraising campaign to raise vital funds for a Cancer Wellness Centre at in the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer Community support, including fundraising efforts by Mix 102.3’s breakfast duo, Jodie and Sofa, reached the $500,000 target. Â
The Flinders Cancer Wellness Centre was designed and built in 2019, officially opening in February 2020. Â
In 2025, Flinders Foundation employed a dedicated Cancer Wellness Program Manager to revitalise the Cancer Wellness Centre and extend its programs to support cancer patients, families, and the community in all aspects of wellbeing through the cancer journey and beyond. Â
