The Ribbon Long Lunch
Event details
“When you hear ‘you have cancer,’ everything changes.”
– Sally, living with mesothelioma and receiving care at Flinders
The Ribbon Long Lunch exists for everything that comes after those words.
The research looking for better answers. The clinicians turning discovery into treatment. The care that continues through diagnosis, treatment, remission, recurrence, survivorship and everything in between.
Cancer rarely moves in a straight line. There are good days and hard ones. The path twists, turns and sometimes doubles back.
What matters is that exceptional care keeps moving with it.
The Ribbon Long Lunch
One afternoon. Many reasons for being there. One shared commitment to better cancer research and care.
On Friday 30 October 2026, people whose lives have been touched by cancer will come together in the Ballroom at Eos by SkyCity for an afternoon of connection, generosity and purpose.
With Flinders University as Principal Partner, the Ribbon Long Lunch brings together philanthropists, business and community leaders, healthcare professionals and supporters who believe in a better future for cancer research and care.
Guests will share exceptional food and conversation, but the reason for coming together goes much further than the lunch itself.
Join us and become part of the Ribbon, part of a shared commitment, part of what shapes the future.
Every ticket purchased and every dollar raised helps support groundbreaking research, enhance patient care and improve outcomes for individuals and families facing cancer.
