Nominate a Health Hero
Every day across the Flinders Health Precinct, countless people contribute to the care, comfort, and wellbeing of patients and families. Sometimes it’s a lifesaving clinical moment, and sometimes it’s the small acts of kindness that matter just as much.
As part of our Live Local. Give Local. Christmas Appeal, we’re inviting you to nominate your Health Hero:
✨ someone who supported you
✨ made you feel seen
✨ or helped you through a moment that mattered.
Whether it was a nurse at your bedside, a doctor who guided you through uncertainty, a volunteer who offered a warm smile, the cleaner who brightened your room, the person who served you breakfast with a special ‘Good morning’ greeting, or an allied health professional like a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, dietitian or social worker — every role makes a difference.
Your message of gratitude will be passed on to the staff member or team you nominate — helping to recognise and celebrate the exceptional care they provide.

Terms and conditions
1. Eligibility
- Each valid Healthcare Hero nomination submitted through the Flinders Foundation nomination form will receive one entry into the prize draw.
- Nominators may submit multiple nominations; each nomination counts as a separate entry.
- Staff may be nominated by patients, carers, family members, visitors, or colleagues.
- Flinders Foundation staff involved in administering the competition are not eligible to win.
2. Prizes
- Two nominations will be drawn: the nominator and their nominated Healthcare Hero will both receive an accommodation voucher kindly donated by Marion Holiday Park. Each winner will receive a Marion Holiday Park accommodation voucher valued at $400. Prizes are not transferable, redeemable for cash, or able to be exchanged.
3. Draw Details
- Winners will be selected at random on Tuesday, 16 December 2025 by Flinders Foundation staff.
- Winners will be contacted via the phone number or email address provided in the nomination form.
- If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, Flinders Foundation reserves the right to redraw the prize.
4. Voucher Conditions
- Voucher valid until 28/11/2028.
- Blackout dates apply, including peak holiday periods, public holidays, and long weekends (as outlined by Marion Holiday Park).
- Bookings are subject to Marion Holiday Park’s availability and standard booking conditions.
- Any additional costs, upgrades, or incidental expenses are the responsibility of the voucher holder.
5. Privacy
- Personal information provided in the nomination form will be used solely for the purpose of administering the draw, contacting winners, and passing on messages of gratitude to nominated staff.
- Details will be handled in accordance with Flinders Foundation’s privacy policy.
6. General Conditions
- Flinders Foundation reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify entries that do not comply with these terms.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Flinders Foundation may amend, suspend, or cancel the competition.
- By entering, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
