Maddie’s dedication to enhancing the hospital experience for children and their families extends beyond her role in the Paediatric Team, as she laces up for this year’s City-Bay.

Dr Sara Tommasi, Medical Scientist at SALHN and Associate Researcher at Flinders University, will be lacing up her “fundraiser shoes” in this year’s City-Bay Fun Run, giving back to the cause she dedicates her career to.

Dr Tommasi and her team are studying a long-overlooked protein that could open the door to new treatments for an aggressive type of breast cancer.
